The Itinerary - subject to change
D/1: Bali Maumere of East Flores)
Transfer to airport for the 1.5hour flight to Maumere. Upon arrival in Maumere, transfer to Sunrise Bungalow for overnight. Clean room, beach front bungalow, nice food.
D/2: Maumere Mount Egon Moni
Early in the morning, drive to Blidit, a village to start the 2-hour ascent to the summit of the active volcano with a possibility to make a tour into the crater. Return to Blidit and back to the hotel for refreshment. Drive 7-hour to Moni, a village in the foot of Mount Kelimutu”. Overnight at Sao Ria Wisata.
Trail condition to Mount Egon is easy with no potential hazard
D/3: Moni Mount Kelimutu Ende
Early in the morning, drive one hour to the entry point of Kelimutu to commence the gentle walk to the summit to enjoy the sunrise and the magnificent vistas of the lakes. Walk down to entry point and back to the hotel for breakfast. After a short rest, drive to Ende with visit to Wallogai, a traditional village on a hill overlooking the valleys and the rice fields. Overnight at Dwi Putra Hotel. Ende is a town by the Indian Ocean overlooking the bay of Ende, the former slave commerce harbor in the colonial period.
Trail condition to Mount Kelimutu is easy with no potential hazard
D/4: Ende Mount Iya - Bajawa
After an early breakfast, drive to the foot of Mount Iya, an active volcano by the Indian ocean, to start the 2-hour ascent to the summit. Return to the hotel for refreshment, and after lunch drive 7 hour to Bajawa with stop at the blue stones beach of Panggajawa. Bajawa is a small about 1,100 m above the sea level under the sillhouete of the three-active volcanoes of Mount Inerie (2,276 m), Mount Inelika (1,600 m), and Mount Ebulobo (2,149 m). Overnight at Silverin.
Trail condition to Mount Iya is easy if not too hot with no potential hazard
D/ 5: Bajawa Mount Inelika (1,600 m)
Drive 15 minutes to the foot of Mount Inelika to start the 2-hour walk through various plantations the crater rim to view the nine lava holes of the 2001-eruption with a possibility to make a tour into the crater. Return to the hotel, and then visits to Luba, a rare-visited traditional village at the foot of Mount Inerie where a blend of the daily animism culture mixes into the Roman Catholic belief, and to Soa hot-water spring for traditional massage.
Trekking to Mount Inelika is easy, with no potential hazard, except for the one-hour tour into the crater where the 60-m of safety rope is needed
D/6: Bajawa Mount Inerie (2,276 m)
At early in the morning drive 20 minutes to the foot of Mount Inerie to start the 4-hour ascent to the summit. Have breakfast in the crater rim, just 30 minutes to the summit while enjoying a proud feeling of satisfaction. Descend and return to the hotel. The rest of the day is spent to relaxing.
Trail to the summit of Ineria does not have potential hazard, but it's recommended only to the well-trained trekkers
D/7: Bajawa Mount Ebulobo (2,149 m)
Early in the morning, drive 2 hours to Mulakoli, a village to start the 4-hour ascent to the summit. Have breakfast in the summit while viewing the active crater rim. Descend to Mulakoli and back to the hotel. The rest of the day is spent to relaxing.
Trail condition: Enough space to walk, recommended only to the well-trained trekkers
Hazard: Hot temperature around the crater, aggregated trail about 30 minute prior to the summit with a possibility to fall into the crater.
D/8: Bajawa Ruteng
Drive 7 hours to Ruteng with stops en route for pictures. Ruteng is a nice cool town with stunning vistas of the rice fields and the cool mountain breeze, 1,000 m above the sea level under the sillhouete of Mt. Ranaka. Overnight at Dahlia Hotel.
D/9: Ruteng Labuhan Bajo Rinca
Drive about 7 hour to Labuhan Bajo with visits to the ancient cave of Liang Bua where the Homo Florensis was newly discovered, and to Cancar, the village with web-spider-like rice fields. Upon arrival in Labuhan Bajo, transfer to private wooden boat for the 3-hour navigation to Rinca Island. Arrival in Rinca in the afternoon. Overnight on board or at the PPA Lodge. DInner on board.
D/10: Rinca Komodo Labuhan Bajo
After breakfast ob board, walk 3 to 4 hours through the savannas and the steppes of Rinca Island, the former ranch of the Bimanese Sultanate of East Sumbawa, where we will encounter the active giant lizard of Komodo, wild pigs, grey monkey, birds, the Komodo’s nest, wild horses, deer, and water buffalo. Back to the boat and navigate to Komodo Island on a 2-hour trip. After an exciting soft trekking in Komodo Island, return to Labuhan Bajo with stop at the Pink Beach, the best snorkeling site with colorful tropical shore fishes and coral formations off Komodo Island. Upon arrival in Labuhan Bajo, transfer to Puri Sari Beach for overnight. Lunch on board.
D/11: Labuhan Bajo Lombok
Transfer to the airport for flight to Lombok with a visit to the Museum of Komodo. After the 2-hour flight with a short transit in Bali, arrive in Lombok and transfer to Senggigi (10 km from the airport) for overnight.
D/12: Senggigi Sembalun Lawang Crater Rim II
Drive 130 km to Sembalun Village in the East of Lombok to commence the 7-hour trek to Rinjani. Start walking through the grasslands up to the resting point of Pemantauan (1,278 m). Ascent to Post 2 of Tengengean (1,476 m), and enjoy the expansive views of the summit. Continued to Pos 3 of Pada Balong (1,795 m) where the 3½-hour hard ascent to the Crater Rim II of Sembalun (2,596 m) starts. Night in the tent, L, D.
D/13: Crater Rim II Summit Crater Lake
At 03.00 am leave the camp site for the four-hour hard and extreme ascent to the summit (3,726 m). After enjoying a proud feeling of satisfaction and the great views over the crater lake, return to the crater rim II. Start to descend for a couple of hours to the crater lake of Segara Anak (2,000 m for overnight. The rest of the day is spent in relaxing, swimming in the Crater Lake, or visiting the hot springs which are said to have healing powers.
Should you decided not to ascend up to the summit, you may stay here waiting the rest of the group returning from the top, and then join to descend to the crater lake camp site. Night in the tent, B, L, D.
D/14: Crater Lake Village of Senaru Gili Trawangan
Ascent to the Crater Rim I of Senaru (2,641 m), and then descend to Senaru village (601 m) to start tyhe drive to Bangsal for a short boat trip to Gili Trawangan Island. Upon arrival, transfert to a hotel horse-drawn cart "Cidomo". B, L.
D/15: Gili Trawangan / free
D/16: Gili Trawangan Denpasar
Transfer to the airport for the 20-minute flight to Bali. Upon arrival in Bali transfer to Jayakarta Hotel**** Kuta.
D/17: Denpasar Next Destination/Extension
Transfer to the airport for flight to your next destination.
