OUTDOOR - Trek 3 days/2 nights (north-north)-The crater lake

ITINERARY: subject to change

Day 01: Pick Up - Senaru Trek Center – Camp Site III
Early in the morning, transfer to Senaru Trek Center , 53-mile drive  to the North . After registration, briefing, and final preparation, start to walk gently through the grasslands  towards the thick tropical forests  rich in flora and fauna on a five-hour gentle ascent to the Camp Site III  - Mondokan Lokak (6, 557 feet). Night in the tent, lunch, dinner.

Day 02: Camp Site III -  Crater Rim I -  Crater Lake
At 03.00  a.m.  leave the camp site for the crater rim I - Senaru (8 803 feet) on the 2½-hour hard ascent  through the grassy meadows to catch the best moment of the sunrise and the  views of the crater lake with its new volcano. Gentle and hard descent for a couple of hours along the adventurous trail  to the crater lake camp site (6,557 feet). The rest of the day is spent in relaxing, swimming,  or visiting the hot springs which are said to have  healing powers. B, L, D.

Day 03: Crater Lake - Senaru Crater Rim I - Senaru Trek Center
After breakfast, ascent to the crater rim I - Senaru (2 hours), and then descend  the five-hour trail to Senaru Trek Center . Transfer to your next destination. B, L.

NOTE
No special mountaineering skills are needed, however, trekkers must be fit and those with asthma or heart problem are not recommended. Recommended items to bring: study walking, shoes, rain gear, hat, sun block, warm clothing, change of clothes, cotton gloves, torchlight & bottled drink water.
