VISITING ETIQUETTE
Clothing
Shorts and Bra tops are not acceptable outside hotels and beach areas. On tours, light, casual, comfortable clothes (reasonably covered up to knee for women) and comfortable shoes. This is the minimum standar of ethic of clothing in Indonesia , regardless the religion, belief, tradition, or nationality we have. Shorts acceptable for men except in temples and holy places. Evening wear casual, for ladies a simple restaurant frock, for men slacks and casual shirt.

Kissing is strongly forbidden in the public as well as to show off your personal affection to your partner in front of the locals even though you are HONEYMOONERS. Do not use it as an excuse to breach this basic etiquette.

The Left Hand is considered unclean as it used to clean oneself in the bathroom. Do not give and receive something, or point anybody by using left hand.
Alcohol is frowned upon in Islam, so take a look around you and enjoy yourself.
Shoes – take off when you enter someone’s house.
Tipping - is not compulsory in Indonesia , but expected at the amount of which you are happy to give.
A Hint - It is advisable to take toilet paper on all the trips. Do not be embarrassed to ask your guide to find a toilet.

ACCESS
Take flight in to Indonesia either to Bali or to Jakarta , then on local carriers continued to Lombok (20-minute flight - 8x per day from Bali), and 1.5-hour flight from Jakarta - 2x per day).
